The |basilic vein| is one of the larger |veins| in the body extending upward along the inner side of the forearm to the elbow. It continues to about the middle of the upper arm and joins the brachial |vein|. The |basilic vein| and the brachial |vein| merge and continue as the |axillary vein| (vein of the armpit).
